A 2d scan is a black and white image scan, similar to what you would receive at the doctors office. It provides valuable diagnostic information and every single scan begins with a 2D scan, even if your primary goal is HD images. We use 2D ultrasound to check for a heartbeat and find baby’s position for the best possible images. 3D ultrasound give you a more detailed and clear image of your baby, while 4D ultrasound goes even farther and captures live video of your baby in the detail. And HD/5D ultrasounds offer dimension, shadow, and photos/videos of your baby’s face. See what your baby looks like before they even get here! Watch your baby wiggle, smile, suck their thumbs and more!
Anytime is a fun time to see your baby! We recommend anywhere between 28-37 weeks for optimal 3D/HD ultrasound viewing if you only plan for one visit during your pregnancy. If you want to come in earlier for a heartbeat check (as early as 6 weeks) or a gender determination ultrasound (as early as 13 weeks), we would love to invite you for a 2D ultrasound (HD would be offered as available depending on baby’s cooperation).
